more flowers and some sounds

Its Azalea time, we have two and must plant some more soon
A good friend of mine is heading for California so here are some poppies for him on his birthday.
When I was 13 Mrs Pratt our Art teacher brought some Arum lilies in for us to draw and gave me an offshoot, I have had them in every garden ever since, that's our wormery bin in the background
Onion sets are doing well and garlic is just planted
The hens get to help every now and then, we are still looking for some Guinea fowl, they are a lot less scratchy.
Broad beans are starting to settle in and strawberries doing very well.
Snowbird has gone all broody again she is saying "get off my eggs" and she does peck if approached.
oops traffic on the road by our house has got a bit busy
This is what our corner of Valdovino sounds like in the afternoon sorry the hens did not perform well, years of training and when their moment came they let themselves down.

  2. Glad they cheered you up, plenty more flowers on the way soon, apparently green exercise -exercise in a outdoor natural space like going for a walk somewhere nice and natural is good for cheering people up too, people feel better after only 5 mins wow and if water is in there its even better http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/8654350.stm I wonder how much it cost to work that one out, what plethora of data was collected, what methodologies were considered and justified, how much time went on seeking permission of the participants, counting how many times "I feel better" or 'happier' appeared in their interviews or questionnaires - good grief how many academics does it take to change a lightbulb...they might even get round to realising a walk on the beach (blue/yellow exercise) is also uplifting as can be a good walk in the rain or fog (grey exercise) or even crumping along in a fresh cover of snow (white exercise), my goodness don't astronauts report well being feelings when space or moon walking (err dark floaty place exercise) and exercise in a swimming pool can be uplifting (blue again) what about gyms In feel great in a gym (artificial exercise) can I have a PhD please I just invented several new labels for exercise that is good for body and soul...and noticed a theme emerging - maybe its the exercise that is the key to it all....sorry its been one of those days.
