Ginger is flowering at last and the scent at night fills the garden.
We have a load of Argiope spiders in the garden, large stripy and fearsome looking but no danger to us. They move faster than I could see when they capture prey, eg catching then wrapping a wasp in nets of web and hanging it up and returning to the web all in about 12 secs.
Very jaggedy rocks at Baleo, great fun for boys but rather worrying for mums and dads.
He made it down safely enough though
Baleo has great sand for spooky sandcastles that one is a lot bigger than it looks and made by dribbling very wet sand.
Nice venue for after wedding photos too although they did nearly get caught by the waves later on.
People keep saying let us know about the weather and I keep forgetting to do so. It has been a very dry Summer after a patchy June, July was fairly breezy but fairly warm too, August just baked us most of the time although there were a couple of dampish days it never really rained properly and the ground is like dust even a couple of spades down. This morning's couple of hours of proper rain was very welcome, we need more though this lot sat on top of the grass and did not soak in very well on our sloping land. The sea was slow to warm up - still felt cold in July although it was 18C according to meteogalicia, it improved over August and this last week or so it feels a lot warmer @20C almost warm enough not to need a wet suit even.
