Another hot day ahead, the mist flows around us a couple of fields away on all sides.
A perfect day for heading to the hill foraging for fungi - shame the van is grounded just now.
All that dismantling for a little hose, it was a very awkward little fellow to remove.
I need to do tidying but on a hot day chainsawing and strimming might just win over finishing building the woodstack wall etc. Elise from Helpx will be visiting soon - no shortage of fun things for you to do Elise :-)
Nicotiana still doing well
Water melons area a bit late but might just about ripen, we did not plant it and it is rather vigorous each stem is about 6 meters and growing fast.
Not sure what this is but its great
This is less great - a weevil of some sort possibly a broad shouldered weevil, they plague our citrus, I pick at least a dozen off three little trees and feed them to the hens every day just now.
Mushrooms popping up this morning again.
I used to grow Physalis in a greenhouse in Cornwall, it did OK but they were tiny compared to what happens when they are outside in Galicia.
Asparagus did well for its first season and the lettuce, endives etc are still growing very well.
Jen planted more to follow but they are having to compete a tad with the weeds.
Sempervivium did well this year but no flowers yet.
Echeveria also doing well
